
The company is confident to replicate the success of Malana Hydro Power Project
by building the AD Hydro Power Project ahead of the commissioning schedule set
by the Central Electricity Authority.

The Bhoomi Pujan and the Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of the 192 MW
Allain-Duhangan Hydro Electric Power Project was conducted at the site in
Manali, Himachal Pradesh on 21st November, 2005.

The major acquisition of land for the project was completed during 2005-2006.
The Government's agricultural land measuring 10.07 hectares was transferred in
favour of the project. The company also acquired a major portion of the private
land required for construction of the project.

The construction of a road measuring 16 kms from the State Highway to Allain
Barrage has been completed and the construction of the 14 kms Duhangan Road has
commenced from village Jagatsukh to Duhangan Weir site. Construction of various
buildings has also started.

The excavation work in the Powerhouse area started during the financial year
2005-2006. Most of the activities associated with the civil contract are
expected to be completed in terms of the planned commissioning date. The works
for the main access of the tunnel has been completed. The constructions of
pressure shaft, tail race tunnel and power house cavern have also commenced.
Complete excavation in the Powerhouse Complex is expected to be completed by
October, 2006.

The company awarded the contract package for the construction of Allain
upstream works, intermediate reservoir and head race tunnel in November, 2005.
The works on construction of Adits and excavation of reservoir has commenced.

All geographical investigations and preliminary route survey of 220 KV double
circuit 185 kms long transmission line are completed. 750 KvA DG sets and 2MVA
construction power line are also commissioned. The Guage and discharge stations
are set into operation.
